Villa Maria Cafeteria Announcements:
Villa Maria Cafeterias would like to welcome all new and returning students to the 2001-2011 school year.
We have a few brief notes for parents and students to begin the year.
General announcements and reminders
• The Villa Cafeteria serves breakfast daily between 7:00 and 8:20 a.m.
• The daily lunch special is still the same low cost of $2.50.
• The special includes an entrée, side, vegetable, dessert and milk. Ala Carte items are also available.
A note on charges
Just a reminder to all students and parents: there is a $5.00 limit on lunch charges. We don’t want to have to refuse any student a lunch for non-payment so make sure all charges are paid in a timely manner.
Take advantage of the Schoolhouse software system
The Schoolhouse software system allows us to more efficiently serve all of the students during lunch periods. Students registered in the program simply give their four-digit identification number to the cashier and our registers debit their account for the total amount.
As you can imagine, taking away the process of handling money and making change for each student greatly increases the time with which we get through each line, and leaves more time for the students to enjoy their lunch period.
For the system to be as effective as possible, we need to ensure two simple things:
Students knowing (and remembering) their unique identification number
• For new students, this number will be given to you during the first week of class.
• This number will be yours for all four years at Cathedral Prep or Villa Maria.
Parents taking advantage of the chance to pay for their child’s lunch in advance.
• To set your child up in the system, parents simply need to pay in advance by the week or month.
• Have your son or daughter bring cash or check to the Cafeteria before the first period on the first day of the week or month they are paying for.
• Parents can also mail checks to:

• Paying by check is the most efficient method and is encouraged by the Cafeteria staff.
• Please be sure to include your child’s name and identification number with your check.
• Make the check out to Cathedral Prep or Villa Maria, and mark “lunch” in the memo.
