Host Family for an International Student Program

The Host Family for an International Student Program was developed as a way to provide a living environment that allows the international student the ability to connect with local families and broaden the opportunity for cultural exchange. Host families are encouraged to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and carry out traditional activities with their international student.

Thank you for considering being a host family and opening your home to an international student. We hope the experience will enrich your family life as much as that of the international student. By hosting a student, you and your family agree to:

• Welcome the student into your home.
• Celebrate the student’s birthday and holidays.
• Carry out traditional activities to make the student feel at home.
• Support the student in any extra-curricular or sporting activities.
