Entrance Exam
Villa Maria requires all 8th grade applicants to take the Entrance Exam. Students are encouraged to take the Entrance Exam on the November 6, 2010 date in order to qualify for the Entrance Exam Scholarships, Early Admission, and the $100 Early Deposit Discount.
On Saturday, November 6, 2010 students may arrive at 7:45 AM. The test will be administered at 8:00 AM and will be completed at approximately 11:30 AM. Students can enter the building through the East doors (the parking lot behind the West Erie Plaza). After the Entrance Exam on November 6, 2010, students are invited to Villa’s cafeteria to enjoy a complimentary lunch!
The January 29, 2011 exam date is primarily utilized as a make-up date for the students that could not attend the exam in November. Students that take the January exam are not eligible for early admission, the $100 discount, or the Entrance Exam Scholarships.
Alternate Entrance Exam Date: *Saturday, January 29, 2011. Students may arrive after 7:45 AM. The test will be administered at 8:00 AM. The test will be completed at approximately 11:30 AM. Students can enter the building through the East doors (the parking lot behind the West Erie Plaza).

Special Entrance Exam Awards:
Villa Maria Academy recognizes special academic achievement by offering scholarship awards to students achieving exemplary scores on the Entrance Exam. The students receiving the top ten exam scores will each be rewarded a renewable $500 or $1,000 scholarship to be applied to tuition payment upon enrollment. These scholarships are only offered to the students who take the November 6, 2010 Entrance Exam.
Medaille Scholars
Villa Maria Academy recognizes special academic achievements by offering scholarship awards to students achieving exemplary scores on the Entrance Exam (top 10%) as well as a solid record of academic excellence in grade school which demonstrates the ability to handle Honors/AP level courses. The students qualifying for a Medaille Scholarship receive a renewable $2,000 scholarship to be applied to tuition payment upon enrollment.
