Update from the President
Dear Members of the VMA family,
With all the preparations for the new school, I thought I’d give you an update on the progress.
The Board of Trustees continues to meet and address Villa business through June. In addition, a new board is being assembled to plan for the business of the new entity which officially begins July 1, 2009. The board for the new school will be comprised of members of Villa’s current board and of Prep’s current advisory board. Many members of the new board have ties to both schools.
The name of the new school has yet to be determined for corporate purposes but know that Villa Maria and Cathedral Prep will be names used for all practical purposes. The new mission statement is also in the process of being developed and it will include the essence of both schools’ current mission statements.
